1.What was your number one goal entering fall practice and have you accomplished that?
Plug a lot of new faces from our Freshman & Sophomore classes into offensive & defensive positions to contribute for us. That’s still a work in progress, and will be for a while, but we feel very good about the potential those guys show.
2. Who was an individual that has stood out to you so far?
Freshman QB Hudson Spivey. He has worked incredibly hard in the offseason to get better and is competing to replace the graduated Jake Lane as our starter at QB.
3. What has left you a little concerned so far?
Inexperience on the defensive line. We’re counting heavily on young guys to grow up in a hurry as we return only one starter on the interior D line.
4. Where do you think you need to make the most progress?
Developing more consistency in executing our assignments on both lines of scrimmage.
5. What was one area or position you feel like you’ve solidified so far?
Wide Receiver. We have a bunch of guys, led by Senior Connor Gasque, who can catch the football and are good blockers.
