What was your number one goal entering fall practice and have you accomplished that?
Number 1 goal was to find out who our best guys are at each position, and find the best ways to have our best 11 on the field as much as possible. We believe those guys have proven themselves, and have also found several quality players beyond that 11.
Who was an individual that has stood out to you so far?
Will Owens has really emerged as a do-it-all guy for us on both sides of the ball. Playing OLB and H-back, he can block, tackle, and catch the ball. Great all-around player.
What has left you a little concerned so far?
Two goals this year are to improve at avoiding penalties on offense, and do a better job of taking the ball away on defense. We still have a lot of work to do in those areas.
Where do you think you need to make the most progress?
We’ve made the most progress this year at simply becoming a team. These guys have really joined together in their drive to be a cohesive and driven team. It’s been fun to watch that develop all summer.
What was one area or position you feel like you’ve solidified so far?
Quarterback, Will Taylor could make a big impact for us this year.
