Friday night the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders defeated East Clarendon 42-14. The Raiders led 26-0 at the half due mainly to the hard running of Kenyan Leggett and the great defensive play of the entire team.
Leggett ran 12 times for 145 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Raider ground attack which finished with a season-high of 397 yards. D
Davian Coaxum added 86 yards on 15 carriers. Tyshaun Self led the stout defensive effort with a team high of seven tackles and Jalen Jenkins added two interceptions prevent the Wolverines from getting back in the game Floyd Eaddy also added two touchdowns in the big win.
“The boys had a great week of practice, and they came to play tonight,” said H-P head coach Jamie Johnson. “Our defensive effort was unbelievable. Offense been scoring a lot of points. We had two really good receivers, to shut EC down tonight, so I was excited about the effort there. When we get rolling i don’t think there is anyone who can stop us. So I was proud of our effort tonight we played a game of team football. .”
The Raiders will host Carvers Bay this Friday in a region match up. Hannah Pamplico is now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in region play.
