Last year, Greer took on Travelers Rest and beat them 58-6. The Jackets are hoping for a repeat of that performance this Friday when they celebrate Homecoming, with all the banners, floats, and festivities that come along with the biggest home football game of the year.
Greer has been working hard in practice this week, and according to Avery Graham, a senior defensive linemen, they have “bounced back from some key injuries from last week.” He also said, “We’ve had great practices this past week and I feel like we are ready to play.”
In practice this week, Graham said that in his opinion, “[Greer’s] offense has gotten a lot better… and we’ve had better team chemistry overall.”
Hollis Crosby, a sophomore, is reportedly going to play as quarterback for the Jackets this week, while Raheim Jeter will be out. This could be a big blow for the Jackets, but the team feels confident in Crosby’s ability to manage the game and give Greer a chance at victory.
